چکیده
A well-balanced compact high-order gas-kinetic scheme (GKS) on unstructured mesh is first developed for solving the shallow water equations with source terms. The distinguishable feature of finite volume GKS that based formulation, a time-accurate gas distribution function can be constructed, from which both fluxes and flow variables explicitly evaluated at cell interface. As result, besides update cell-averaged conservative variables, slopes updated as well. Equipped their slopes, fourth-order spatial reconstruction obtained initial condition beginning each time step. For flow, in order to preserve property, advection terms flux have balanced properly. current achieves accuracy, keeps has super-robustness simulation bore waves. used studies, such dam breaking wave propagation. On the High - Order Multidimensional Gas - Kinetic Scheme
The newly developed high-order-accurate multidimensional gas-kinetic scheme is further investigated, including the benefit of the consideration of tangential slopes in the flux function at a cell interface, and the application of the scheme in turbulence simulation. The present study shows that in despite of increasing of computational cost, the multidimensional scheme can evidently improve the...
متن کاملCentral-Upwind Scheme for Shallow Water Equations with Discontinuous Bottom Topography
Finite-volume central-upwind schemes for shallow water equations were proposed in [A. Kurganov and G. Petrova, Commun. Math. Sci., 5 (2007), 133–160]. These schemes are capable of maintaining “lake-at-rest” steady states and preserving the positivity of the computed water depth. The well-balanced and positivity preserving features of the central-upwind schemes are achieved, in particular, by us...
متن کاملOn a well-balanced high-order finite volume scheme for shallow water equations with topography and dry areas
Shallow water equations are widely used in ocean and hydraulic engineering to model flows in rivers, reservoirs or coastal areas, among others applications. In the form considered in this paper, they constitute a hyperbolic system of conservation laws with a source term due to the bottom topography. In recent years, there has been increasing interest concerning the design of high-order numerica...

متن کاملNumerical simulation of transient natural gas flow in pipelines using high order DG-ADER scheme
To increase the numerical accuracy in solving engineering problems, either conventional methods on a fine grid or methods with a high order of accuracy on a coarse grid can be used. In the present research, the second approach is utilized and the arbitrary high order Discontinues Galerkin Arbitrary DERivative (DG-ADER) method is applied to analyze the transient isothermal flow of natural gas th...
